I like most tip n. 5 , Val. While it is true that you can learn from touching that hot stove yourself, but it is better and wiser to learn from others' experiences. To identify what contributed to their slip-ups and apply the lessons ( you learned from them ) directly to yourself makes you think twice before doing the same thing. Also, isn't it less painful and not costly than having to make every mistake yourself?
