Some people hire VAs to drop comments on other blogs and link back to theirs. This has been a successful strategy some bloggers have used over the years to gain some traction for their properties. But would you also hire those VAs to RESPOND to comments on your own blog?

I think that defeats the purpose a bit. The whole idea of comments is to interact and build relationships.

I hired a VA to moderate the comments (delete spam comments and move good comments from spam folder) based on a specific set of rules. I handle it from there though.

Have them alert you to comments, but I would stop there. Especially if they're not from your country.

Exactly. VAs can do a lot of good stuff, but don't let them put words in your mouth.
