After reading an article on Jon Morrow's blog that gives plenty of reasons why blog ads is silly monetization method, I think that's too weird and a blanket statement. I voice my opinion in this article. Read it to see reality.

Adeshokan Shamsudeen: Thanks for your input. I have adsense ads on my first blog, but I don't have massive pageviews at the moment, so I am not earning much on it. It is powered by Blogger so it was natural to use Google's ad service.

Have you tested the BlogAds network? I have been using them back in the day, and I still have a spot on my first blog. Your post gave me reminder to contact them again and see how things are going.

Hi Martin,

Am so glad to see my post gave you some thought for giving blog ads a chance again, apart from me - I have good numbers of blogging friends doing really well running ads on their blogs.

However, you have to understand that paid marketing is important to make any significant income from running ads on your blog. This is becuase massive pageviews plays a vital role in your earnings potential.
