In this video Aaron Wall, search expert extraordinaire, gives very practical tips for optimizing for video search. For instance, he suggests first posting a video to your own site before posting to YouTube. You want to have more content on your own site than on a 3rd party site. Or another tactic is to cut your video into 2 parts, and post one part on YouTube and the second part on your own site, and direct people to go to you site for the second part. Lots of practical advice is crammed into this 3:24 minute video.

Wow. Lots of good food for thought here especially when it comes to using video. It's worth considering when planning your SEO strategy and in terms of trying to figure out how to get the best exposure for your Website or blog.
