The ever-changing Google search algorithm lays down an important message: we must keep on writing great articles that people appreciate and read. If more people read what you have written, you can only be motivated to write better and thus maintain your search rankings.

How high a standard written content should reach is a matter of subjectivity. Other than Bob Bly, another marketer who writes, long, deep and very detailed blog posts is Rich Schefren, and both these 2 guys write at such productive frequency that it's difficult to emulate. Perhaps once in a blue moon, I could write something only a quarter as good as them :) But they have all the professional experience to tap on for their writings. Thanks for this guest post and, Nelson, thanks for sharing it with everyone on the BizSugar community. It's long been said you should write for people not just search engines, and the new algorithm is certainly making that the case. I wonder if either of you could give us your views of just what makes top notch content. It would be great if you could respond in the comment section of the BizSugar community as well so everyone could gain the insight.
