Local listings are underrated in the era of the global Internet. First, they are imperative for promoting local goods and services especially as more and more people search for these services on mobile devices. Second, some people prefer to patronize local businesses even when they don't have to and local listings are a good way to promote even purely online services to a specific local audience.
