I have produced a weekly podcast for about five years now. It started out as one of my content creation tactics but quickly became an important way to gain access to leading authors and marketing professionals. In fact, I’ve often referred to it as my secret weapon.

I have been blogging since 2002 and I think that is my hub, but podcasting will add another dimension to my social media activities. I enjoy having a conversation with interesting individuals and learn stuff from and exchange ideas with them. It is a great way of creating content.
During these five years, you have built a huge data bank of a wealth of information and knowledge.
My goal is to have a show on a regular basis. It is a bit tough to line up several people to interview in the start-up phase of the show. During a period of time I had a guest almost every week, but I had to take a break recently and plan for the future. I want to have a show at least a couple of times per month in the future. I will start to book guests and add them to the "pipeline" soon again and start the show again after the holiday season.
I use Blog Talk Radio's podcast service, so the show get recorded and archived at once. I listen to the show and then manually add show notes and a timeline in a post on my blog. I call into the dashboard system by using Skype to Blog Talk Radio's number for hosts. I use Plantronics headset (recommended by Skype). I don't edit the show as it is now.
I have to check out iStockphoto and Casting Words.
When could I have an interview with you about Duct Tape Marketing, your new book and referral marketing, and other things?
All the Best,
Martin
