Great post Kimberly. Like you I write guest posts and also accept them as Managing Editor of Tweak Your Biz. What I do suggest as an editor is that people read the T&C's before submitting posts so they don't waste time writing about something that doesn't necessarily fit with the site or linking for self promotion. And as a guest writer I study the formatting and subject matter of posts on the sites I write for so as to fit in with their style. Just a bit of research starting off can save a whole lot of time, and rewrites and possible disappointment later. And although busy I do my best to respond to every enquiry as that's just politeness. Thanks for sharing on Bizsugar.com

Thanks for the reminder. There are many people who start to take guest blogging for granted and begin to lower the quality of their work, act like they own the website they are guest posting on, etc. It is important to remember these tips as webmasters love guest bloggers who know the etiquette of guest blogging.

Great point about guest bloggers assuming the website is their own. Thanks for your comment!
