Do you think promoting Amazon books is a waste of time? Yes, Amazon commissions on many everyday products are quite small. They do add up though, especially this time of year.

Kelly: I haven't earned much on Amazon commissions, but I will continue to use its affiliate links (with a note about it) as it will add up in the future. I think it will go well being an avid reader and thought leader in training.

As Zubinkutar said, volume is the key to success. Don't be afraid to put Amazon affiliate links into appropriate blog posts. People trust Amazon so they tend to convert extremely well.

I've been selling amazon products for a while now, but the commission are not that high..The trick is volumes, and that will come only when you drive traffic to your site..

Kelly, you have such a good way of looking at things! That's absolutely one of the qualities that makes you so successful in business! It is interesting that Amazon increases your commission percentage based on units sold not dollar volume. You are completely right that every tiny commission raises the bar. Insightful!
