Cindy: Thanks for your input. I agree with your thoughts on this issue. My home base has been my EGO blog since 2002. Posterous has been great in order to test out a new type of blogging / lifestreaming. Next year I will create a new site that will evolve over time so it could become my main hub for my business activities. I will ask you for some suggestions on the copy and text material, describing my services, my unique value proposition, about page / kudos / mentions / resources, etc.

Hi Cindy: I am glad to hear that! :) I have been using it as my personalized site for myself and my business, e.g. links to articles I have written, video clips by small business people, and some "lighter note" stuff. I have redirected my Martin.Lindeskog.name site to the Posterous page.

I will create a new site / blog as my virtual business card with contact information, blog posts on social media and other things that I am working with. It will be a hub for international small business owners, solo entrepreneurs and sole traders (sole proprietorship). I will give moral and practical support to business minded individuals. The site will be located at www.EgoSoleTrader.com. I will continue to use my Posterous page. It is nice to see many of my business contacts that have started another site with a bit different type of content. You often get a more personal side of the business contact this way.

What kind of content do you share on Posterous, Cindy? Do you have any tips and suggestions for Bill? :)

Martin, I like to use Posterous as the place to post fun stuff found online but just not a good fit for my main blog. And this connects with people who want this to connect on this level.

I think the most important thing is to see how Posterous can fit into your overall online presence.

You still want your main hub to be your own website or blog.

Posterous gives you another place to publish content to grab people's attention and get them interested enough to check out your main hub. And because it's such an easy place to publish content, which means there's no big excuse not to do it.

Hi Bill, I think single entrepreneurs have to be ready for it. It's an easy component to add into your other web marketing activities, if you have a clear idea of what type of content you want to share on Posterous.
