My vote would be for a mobile website. Prevents the need to manage two different applications. Not every business would need a mobile app the time and cost that is needed to create the app may not be justified.

Thank you for taking the time to read and comment. I would choose a mobile website, but can see the value in creating both if thats within the businesses budget and they have the tools to market the app.

That is simple. eCommerce websites need to mobile because mobile is the future! Mobile website vs Apps? I vote for Apps. :)
