When I first started blogging I was thrilled if even one person read my post. After a while, I realised growing my blog was less about ‘building’ my community than it was about actually finding them in the first place. Unless you’re incredibly lucky or popular, building your readership can be a challenge. Here are 10 lessons I learned about blogging in the past year.

Hi Denise,

Certainly a blog can be a business in and of itself. But it can also be a component of a business, say, a way to promote your brick and mortar or eCommerce business or even personal brand. What's been your experience with that side of blog use? Do you think blogging is underutilized in this respect?

Hi Heather, I wouldn't know for sure but I suspect so. I don't have a bricks & mortar business. But it's certainly been useful in building my personal brand and bringing me freelance clients.
