If you are set on becoming an entrepreneur, try to avoid believing the myth of the individual who works alone and becomes an overnight success. Entrepreneurs are smart individuals with a flair for risk-taking, innovative thinking and a unique take on teamwork. Entrepreneurs often work in teams, dividing the tasks, effort and costs among themselves in order to make an idea into a profitable business. What you need to understand is how to be an entrepreneur alongside people. You need a team of like-minded individuals whose skills are different from your own.

Some good ideas, but isn't #3 - joining a country club - a bit expensive, and maybe a bit excessive for someone in start-up mode? If they're bootstrapping it seems like an odd investment of capital (if that's what it is supposed to be), and if they're getting a Bank loan, Angel investment, or VC money - I can't see that the investors/lenders would think of it as a plus that they just spent 1,000's to join a cc. Can't they just go to Chamber of Commerce meetings to hob-nob, like everyone else? Or do it online?
