My previous post talked about why i prefer less traffic as i hate spamming comments. Under the comment section, Steve Scott's comment brings out one important point with spammers, that is they normally don't have an avatar. He mentioned people who include avatar are considered real people while spammers do not. From what i have noticed, even bloggers who have a decent blog do not have avatars.

Hi Duncan,

It's not that difficult to get a Gravatar. Lets don't talk about spammers who normally doesn't need one. I am concerning some who has a decent blog but yet they are not getting one. Bad strategy.

I agree, Lye - seeing no Gravatar is a bit like walking down a dark alley at night. There's a silhouette in the shadows - you see it, but can't tell if it's friend or foe. It's unsettling, and sometimes even a bit creepy (depending on the surroundings - the look of the site or blog in question) - maybe enough to make you bolt without looking any further.
