Branding. I think this makes or breaks a business. From the hundreds and thousands of businesses out there, making yourself stand out is something most businesses should consider. Make customers remember you through your brand.

Hi Mary,

All great points. One might ask the question, why does a business need a brand at all? The answer is that, if all other things are equal, you are competing on price and this will invariably lead to a race to the bottom. The alternative is to stand apart, to be known for the individual qualities you, and no one else, could bring to the table. Thanks for sharing on BizSugar!

Wow, Heather, you are so correct. Price competition may work for big box stores, but when it comes to freelancing, we need to stand apart, recognizing those things that only we can do. I never thought about it as you state, but it's definitely true. Thanks for commenting!
