There’s more to creating a logo than just drawing a cute mascot or a quick sketch of your product. Even the simplest of the logos you see every day required a lot of effort and planning to design.

A logo needs to serve several different purposes at once, some of which might seem contradictory at first glance. It has to attract your target audience with time-tested techniques, but it also needs to be fresh and original. It needs to be simple enough for your audience to understand, but it also needs to be able to stand out in a crowd of similar logos. So how do you make sure your logo hits the sweet spot and meets all of these various requirements?
