Survey Monkey. You can create your own surveys, though you will need to have your own database of people to send the survey to. Surveymonkey.com
Google Adwords. I generally use this when testing a new market or product to gauge consumer interest and to test copy. You can't aggregate data the way Google Surveys does, but you can do some good A/B testing to see what people prefer.

Marketing research can be really challenging for small companies just starting out with limited resources, but some of the tools made available at very low cost or free in recent years has really been changing this. Thanks for sharing at least one of these with the BizSugar community. Very cool!
