I don't think I'd come across Gevalia before. If Ikea did something like that, I would not resist too :)

Both Gevalia and IKEA are from Sweden. Gevalia is Latin for Gavle and IKEA is Ingvar Kamprad, Elmtaryd, Agunnaryd (a place in smaland). Gevalia has become very popular in the United States of America according surveys. They belong to the KRAFT group and have moved a part of the production to North America.

Funny to read about the free Gevalia coffee maker campaign. Gevalia is a household name in Sweden. The brand will be recognized for a long time, even if the consumer is using some other coffee brand in the future. Smart way of entering a crowded marketplace.
