There's plenty of talk about the importance of collecting data for your marketing efforts. But a recent survey by research firm Gartner suggests most companies are still failing to effectively mine that data for the marketing information they need. The reason, says management leader and entrepreneur Dana Love, is that many marketers still lack the clear understanding of analytics needed to make the data they are collecting more helpful in their efforts.
