Google+ is a platform that a lot of brands have been slow to turn their attention to because it’s new and often that begs the question – how am I going to encourage engagement and build an audience?

Let’s take a look at some of the ways you can get started...

Adam: After you have published your post, I will write a post on the topic of literature and how to be an avid book reader is good for business.

Sounds good! Can't say for sure how long it will take me to get round to the post though.

Adam: You have to take a picture of your book corner and write a blog post! ;)

Adam: Have a good move and enjoy the books in your new place! Will you have a special library for all your books? ;)

I'll try, thanks! Nope, they will get their own special corner but that's about it - until my book collection needs a special library ha :)

Adam: ;) What are you reading at the moment? Have you nominated any books to the Small Business Books Awards yet?

It was supposed to be 'Epic Content Marketing' but I'm in the process of moving house so my books are at the new house. Not yet.

Adam: Good to hear that! Then I remembered right! ;) Have you read Guy Kawasaki's book on Google+?

Not yet - I'm trying to hold off more books right now. My reading list is insane!

Adam: Thanks for your reply. I say the same thing about Rebekah Radice. Didn't she write a "primer" on Google+?

I think so!

Adam: Thanks for your tips. Do you have any favorite Google+ers or companies / brands on Google+?

Written by adamjayc

No worries. There are a few: Rebekah Radice is one purely because all of her posts always jump right out at me.

Adam: Do you have tips on how incorporate social media activities with Google+ on a regular basis?

I integrate it into most of my social media activities.

For example, when I promote blog posts I have a checklist which includes G+ and for general usage of the platform I have some time scheduled in every day to use it.

Adam: Thanks for your reply. I think that the biggest challenge for Google+ is to become a natural part of you daily worklife.

Definitely.

Do you think that Google+ will be as engaging as Facebook in the future?

Written by adamjayc

Definitely.

Although on a personal note, I find G+ more engaging than Facebook even now.

I'm ready for Facebook to go the way of MySpace and Bebo now though.

I agree with you but, a lot of people have started moving to Google plus especially after the recent Facebook fan page update. The truth is that G+ is very effective when it comes to building engagement with your audience. Thanks for sharing this with the bizsugar community.
