I think the first objective you have mentioned is the most important one. Most business owners relate marketing to advertising with the objective of building brand awareness and generate leads. However, you need to focus first on what I call strategic marketing, which involves researching the market, competition and identifying target customers. If you do this right the subsequent objectives will be met easily.
