How would define an influential person? Do you go on Klout score, reach, six degrees of separation on LinkedIn, etc.?

Fantastic article. One of the things that I did to get the attention of several major influencrs and biz's is to record them a personal intro video introducing myself. This always go their attention and a response. Recently, I landed 3 contracts in a month doing this.
