Google+ Profile No Longer Required For YouTube

Last week, Google made the (not entirely surprising) announcement that, among other changes, they will be decoupling YouTube from Google+; in other words, you will no longer need a Google+ account to create a YouTube channel or comment on videos.

Good news. I found this to be annoying especially when Google created an additional plus page for my YouTube channel.
