To get new customers in a competitive market you need a different marketing strategy to be effective. Sometimes doing the opposite to competitors can make the difference you need to get more customers.

One of the most compelling ways to acquire new customers is by creating an irresistible offer. This is the exact OPPOSITE of what most businesses do. Most provide an average, okay, offer and spend enormous amounts to time, money, and energy promoting it with only modest results to show for it. Thanks for sharing.

That is true and you are right about the extra time and money spent. Also unfortunately many go for the discount as the focus of an offer as well.

Hi Susan,

If you are at all familiar with the 90's sitcom Seinfeld, you may recall the story arc in which the character of George Costanza began acting the opposite of the way he had acted all his life. He had always been afraid to approach attractive women for fear of being rejected and had always said what he believed others wanted to hear rather than what he truly thought. As soon as he began to act opposite to the way he had acted all his life, his endless string of failures became an endless string of successes.

I do remember that storyline Heather. It reminds me that sometimes it can be our attitudes and thinking holding us back.
