Regardless of what you’re selling, most everyone in business has heard it: “Sorry, I just can’t afford it right now.” No one likes hearing that. In some cases it might be true. In most, however, it’s not.

Often when a person says they can't afford your product or service, what they are really saying is that your product or service just isn't a priority right now.

... not a priority... the value isn't convincing enough...the benefit isn't exciting enough... it's really the same issue. And the way to deal with it, a la the article, is the same.
