Before you put pen to paper, fingers to keypad, you need to take a detailed look at who your reader is and what they like to read.

Hi Shawn, I agree that a little personal information is good. It shows a human face as you say. It gives a little bit more credibility to your information. Ultimately people buy from people but they have to be sure of the benefits of your product or service, not just the features.

I think point number one is the most important...and probably the one most people forget. Telling visitors to your site about you probably won't interest them except for a little personal info. to put a human face on your company. The basic idea is to focus on what you can for them.
