But constantly churning out visual content presents a challenge: you need to find meaningful data to fuel that content and, more importantly, you need to find stories within that data that tie into your brand’s values and strategic goals.

The good news is, the inspiration for your next visual project is probably hiding right under your nose. Here are six easy ways to find your next standout piece:

Cate: thanks for your reply! Talking infographics, have you read Anita Campbell's and David Langton's book, Visual Marketing: 99 Proven Ways for Small Businesses to Market with Images and Design?

Cate: I will check out Piktochart. Do you have tips on where to go for help with creating infographics and other visual content?

I don't. Whenever I've used or my clients have needed visual content we have outsourced it or had interns create it using Piktochart or PicMonkey.

I just started playing with Piktochart for infographics a few weeks ago but I am planning to outsource most of my visual content needs.

Cate: No worries. I had the same thing happened to me. I had to search in the spam folder and remove that label to the notifications.

I need to get started with visual content creation. I wonder if I should start out with Canva first?

I haven't tried Canva yet but I hear good things. Let me know how it goes if you do try it out.

Sorry for the delayed response! All of my BizSugar alerts were going to my SPAM folder for some reason :(

I've had interns use Piktochart to make infographics and I've used PicMonkey to make images and collages. I haven't done much in terms of visual content creation, however. That's something that I need to work on!
