There are a lot of people out there that believe a successful negotiation involves one person losing and the other person winning, even if no one knows it the feeling is just subliminally there for you.

John negotiation skills are not needed in every sales process. Listening is, as well as letting the prospect feel they are in control of that process. Depending on the product or service being offered, the prospect needs to understand how that product or service meets their specific needs and requirements. Negotiating skills are not always necessary to answer the prospect's needs. Thanks for posting on BizSugar.

Couldn't agree more! We always want to remind in our courses that its vital to listen to your client or prospect, importantly without the ability to listen you won't be able to put together a great value proposition or ultimately negotiate a worthwhile deal.
