An office space is not a requirement to start a business. Dorm rooms, garages and even living rooms can be perfectly suitable homes for businesses — and some will never leave the cozy spot in which they began. But the way a typical business grows usually means that you will eventually need some office space, perhaps even beyond a dedicated home office. If nothing else, meeting with clients or investors is something best done where they can’t see the stack of laundry you’re ignoring.

Thursday, I loved your advice. Just go for something that works right now. A lot of business owners, when they are making that leap, often get distracted about location, size, cabling, leasing, rates etc. Bu that distraction can take them away from their core activities - growing the business.

Unless you have a company that requires storage or server space, then as you say go for something that works right now. Then move onto the next place with pride and nostalgia that you outgrew your first office.

Thanks for sharing on bizsugar.com.

Take care,

Denise
