A small business may also be a family business and, if so, trouble can ensue if care isn't taken from the start. Family rivalries and dynamics finding their way into the business environment, unclear job designations and uncertainty about each member's contributions are only some of the problems that may come up. As a result, like any other business, clear designations should exist defining responsibilities and the process of decision making.
