I think effective, strong leadership is a vital component of running a successful business. It can usually make the difference between if a business goes belly up or not.

Thanks for sharing Jane's post. There are those who still believe many of these leadership skills are innate, and, of course, some seem to come by them easier than others. Any opinions on the best way to develop the proper abilities to lead?

Hello HeatherStone,

Good to see you here again, and thanks for your contribution. Actually many of these leadership skills are innate.

However, one can consciously develop proper abilities to lead, by associating with great/quality leaders, reading nice books on leadership, and by taking a leadership course.

Since anything can be learned, leadership skills can also be learned whether you have them by heredity or you don't feel an atom of their existence in your life.
