While telecommuting has grown in popularity--about 37 percent of companies worldwide offer telecommuting as a option-- a new study says it hurts those who still travel to the office to work.
The study included 240 professional employees from a medium-sized company and found that the greater the number of telecommuters at an organization, the less satisfied the office workers were with their jobs.
As a result, those unsatisfied office workers are less likely to remain at their jobs. The author of the study noted that there may be other factors that also contribute to the office workers' dissatisfaction with their jobs.
