Holly,

I think one very important aspect can be the ability to work or at least check in on your business from a mobile device. Yes, you're on vacation and don't want to be working the whole time. But maybe if you set things up adequately checking in a few times while you're away will be sufficient.

I like to totally unplug while I'm on vacation, I think it's needed every now and then. Hiring a VA short term can be a great way to let you recharge your batteries. Thanks for the comment!
