Ivan: No worries! ;)

Time to re-read Tim Ferriss book. Have you read his other books?

Btw: Did you get the "Au" link we talked about?

Ivan: You replied to Heather Stone! ;) Thanks for thinking of me and writing my name! ;)

How about having FaceTime / Hangout / Skype conversations and trainings?

Martin,

Whoops! (Edited that out)

FaceTime does help, but I always opt for written instructions in detail - just like what Tim Ferriss recommended in his 4-Hour Workweek book :)

Hi Ivan,

I'm guessing as an online publisher you've had more than a little experience with this. I'm wondering whether you feel there are any significant differences training a remote staff versus training a staff that shares the same office space.

Heather,

I've run offline business before, and the biggest difference of all is communication. It's more challenging training remote staffs, because you need to describe things in greater details.

In face-to-face training, on the other hand, I can just show my staff what he/she should do on the spot.

As long as you can explain things in greater detail (recommended in written form) you'll be fine working with off-premise/on-premise staffs.
