What you choose identifies you, as a person, a social or business, role and as an intelligent being. I choose, for instance, PC vs Mac, or both, or Ubuntu, or iPad or Android, or anything for that matter. And that selection, shifts your way and many of you decisions toward the one or the another direction!

So, how we select leaders? Well, there is no a single way, nor a single approach. Depend on the person, the situations, etc. Here an approach, might help you!

This is quite a unique view of leaders. Your definition is one I have not seen, but it is well thought out. You seem to be writing for people to be aware and filter things they encounter (people, books, ideas) based on their own principles and beliefs. This is a good idea.

Yes, dear Cecilwampler, you are correct. I believe that people should not take for face value anything and they should filter any input receive according their personal values and principles. This is much more true for leaders, because the influence other people and they must be aware of what they uphold and communicate.
