You’re talking to someone who pushes your buttons. You see them as a difficult person, because their behaviour seems obnoxious. They’re showing little or no respect for you. So why should you demonstrate respect for them? My answer is always the same. You show respect for ‘difficult people’ because being respectful sends a powerful message about who YOU are.
