Be a good listener. This is one of the most important skills that an entrepreneur should develop but it is mostly overlooked. Let your employees speak their minds and who knows you can uncover the best motivating factor.

Great post Susan. The carrot certainly does work better than the stick I think. You've made some great suggestions - hopefully some bosses take them onboard as they'll see far better results.
