This post has great insights! In today's workplace forward-thinking companies are investing more in the training of managers. When employees are promoted from within, training must occur no matter how skilled the worker. And with the team-based trend going strong right now, if a manager fails it's now the fault of the training, not the manager...very interesting. Perhaps this creates buy in for employees, since now they know if they fall short as managers they will be seen as simply in need of re-training.
