There are cultural differences between British English and American English that go beyond different spelling. Today many businesses want to reach a wide international audience in English and are turning to International English to make this easier.

LOL - have never heard of Engrish before!

It's interesting to see your British/American mix. I think many people have mixed sources of English today. And that is not even talking about the other big English speaking countries.

I love different accents by the way. It's funny because, I've navigated in so many different English origins that I don't notice the cultural differences in vocabulary very much anymore. But I really like picking up the differences in accents. Not the individual pronunciations. I should say the overall music of the language. It's fun to see how different the same language can be.

I am brought up with British (Queen's) English. We had English from third grade (9 - 10 years old). I am often using American English words and expressions on my blog due to my studies in New Hampshire during 1997 - 2000 and my work in Ohio between 2000 - 2002. Most of my email conversations in English are with Americans.

I have to end on a funny note: Beware of Engrish! ;)
