Thrift stores are a good way to save money, but my experience locally is that the lighting inside is VERY dim. Be sure to carefully inspect every facet of what you buy, or you'll quickly find a flaw when you get it home under normal room lighting. (I used to go near sunset when the sun came directly through the window, and I brought high-power reading glasses to spot possible flaws.)

Thanks for the vote and for commenting! I noticed you're from NorthEast Ohio - I'm from NorthWest Ohio, but in SC now.
Anyway, you're so right about the lighting! It's definitely a good idea to thorough inspect things especially since you can't usually return them! But when you can snatch up a bargain, it makes all of this extra effort so worth it :)
Thanks again!
