For many retailers, Black Friday is a hectic mess of organizing, planning, and logistics. Whether a store’s Black Friday sales are successful is highly dependent on preparing prior to the rush — and each year there is more to accomplish before doors open. In 2012, Black Friday shopping hit a record high with nearly $60 billion in spending. This shopping holiday has taken on a life of its own, and it’s up to the savvy retailer to capture as much of the market as possible.
