Millions of new pages of content are being created every day and the vast majority is created by the individual publisher, but the advertising inventory is growing at massive multiples to the actual demand. With this, publishers will need to find new ways to be found and advertisers will need to find innovative ways to get in front of this micro created content. I'm wondering whether businesses and big corporations will continue to spend money trying to advertise for the purpose of branding. As brand engagement can be done through other platforms like social media and content marketing, it strikes my interest as to whether big companies will increase or decrease their ad budget dedicated towards brand advertising.

Not saying that the whole idea of advertising will go away but I think it will be interesting to see how the whole advertising space will trend on this.
